MEET THE COACHES
I started in the sport of gymnastics at age 5 and competed up through level 9. I have competed at multiple state and regional championships. I have been coaching Preschool, Recreational, Girls and Boys Competitive Team for the past 4 years.During my time as a Boys Team Coach the team has competed in many State and Regional Championships. I am now coaching our competitive girls J.O. levels 5 through 8, learning all that I can along the way.
I was previously a J.O. Level 8/9 gymnast in Massachusetts. I coach recreational classes, compulsory and optional J.O. levels and all levels of Xcel. I have been coaching for 15 years and joined the Gymstreet family in June 2016. I have coached numerous individual state and regional champions at both the J.O. and Xcel levels. I have a BS in Business Management for Umass Lowell.
I began my gymnastics journey with a cartwheel to first base, at 5 years old, during a Tee Ball Game. Clearly, we had chosen the wrong athletic path and my parents signed me up for gymnastics the following year with my sister Danielle following shortly after. In 2007 my parents opened Gymstreet USA, continuing my competitive gymnastics career until the age of 16. In high school I ran track, won the state championship in pole vault, and finished off my final year competing in the Fall and Winter seasons for my high school cheerleading team alongside my sister.
I started coaching gymnastics around the time I stopped competing, and have been ever since, specializing in tumbling for gymnasts, cheerleaders, and dancers. From Parent & Me classes all the way up to adult gymnastics I’ve coached them all at Gymstreet, but my favorite classes to coach are private lessons. There is nothing quite like one on one work to build a gymnast’s skillset.
After High School I attended Southern New Hampshire University working toward my BA in Business Administration. I was able to make amazing connections, study abroad in Italy my junior year, and finish my final year online in order to work full time at the family business. Since then I have graduated with my degree and have been working to make Gymstreet USA an amazing experience for gymnasts, clients, and customers alike.
I started gymnastics at the age of 10 when my dad finally had enough of me doing cartwheels and roundoffs on the soccer field; I was supposed to be playing. By the age of 12 I had progressed to level 8, starting at the Beverly YMCA and then moving here, to Gymstreet! I continued being a competitive athlete in high school becoming a state finalist in gymnastics, cheerleading, and track. After high school I began coaching girls’ gymnastics and cheer at the Beverly YMCA where I worked with kids of all different ages and skill levels. Currently, I am studying code for front end web development and I’m also a freelance graphic designer. I am very excited to be coaching at GymStreet!
Originally from California, I was a level 10 gymnast at USA Elite Gymnastics. I earned a full scholarship to Sacramento State where I achieved All American honors and currently hold the school record on uneven bars. I moved to Massachusetts when I started my family and have been coaching and doing choreography for the past 6 years. I love working with kids and I'm so happy to be able to share my love for the sport of gymnastics here at Gymstreet USA!
My love for gymnastics began at age 5 as I watched my older brother, Devin, begin his journey as a young gymnast. Mom encouraged me to try dance and soccer, but my desire was to follow in my brother’s footsteps and dedicate myself to gymnastics. In 2007, my parents opened Gymstreet USA. I not only grew up at Gymstreet competing and honing my gymnastics skills, but it gave me the ability to develop into a knowledgeable gymnastics coach. I enjoy teaching the sport that has inspired me and love to watch the pride and excitement the children feel when they master a new skill. I competed through J.O. level 8 and then transferred to the Xcel Diamond Team where I won two state championships and earned a placement on the Massachusetts regional team three years in a row. I served as captain for both the gymnastics team and varsity cheerleading team in High School. I am currently pursuing a career in Exercise physiology at Salem State University.
I’ve been involved in gymnastics for over ten years. I competed up to level 9. I have been with Gymstreet USA since its inception in 2007. I started as a recreational gymnastics coach and have progressed to coaching team: excel and level 3’s.I am also a professional hip hop dancer. I’ve competed in Las Vegas at the Hip Hop World Championships. I have worked with many artists such as Salt N Pepa, Fat Joe, Ja Rule, and Waka Flacka!
As a child I did recreational gymnastics, dance, and cheerleading. I competed as a cheerleader throughout High School and at the collegiate level for Salem State University. While at Salem, I received a BA in Graphic Design with a minor in psychology. I have been coaching pre-school and recreational gymnastics since 2001 as well as All-Star and Pop Warner cheerleading teams. In 2008 I had my daughter and began working at Gymstreet USA. I am USAG certified, CPR and first aid certified, as well as KAT (kinder accreditation for teachers) and MELPD(movement educations lesson plan development) certified.I have also coached Arlington H.S. Varsity gymnastics since 2012 and currently enjoy spending time with my family, working in the Billerica Public School system, and coaching the Bronze and Silver Xcel teams here at GymStreet USA.
